Wrong series titles used with no results from indexer (Grey's Anatomy and Chicago P.D.)

May have found an issue.

Just as examples I’m using 1337x, which supports raw search, and TorrentQQ, which does not.

Series & Sonarr search term:

Grey’s Anatomy (has sanitised xem alt title)

  • 1337x - Greys Anatomy
  • TorrentQQ - Greys Anatomy

Chicago P.D. (has sanitised xem alt title)

  • 1337x - Chicago PD and Chicago P D
  • TorrentQQ - Chicago PD and Chicago P D

Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head (has sanitised xem alt title)

  • 1337x - Mike Judges Beavis and Butt-Head
  • TorrentQQ - Mike Judges Beavis and Butt Head

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (no sanitised xem alt title)

  • 1337x - Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist
  • TorrentQQ - Zoeys Extraordinary Playlist

90 Day Fiancé (no sanitised xem alt title)

  • 1337x - 90 Day Fiancé
  • TorrentQQ - 90 Day Fiance

So as far as I can tell, when a sanitised xem alt title is provided, raw search no longer works, or rather works differently (note that for Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head the hyphen is still used but apostrophe is not in 1337x).

@markus101, is this a bug or by design? If by design, why?

Separate to this, and as mentioned earlier, should raw search be changed to look for both the raw and sanitised titles? We’ve come across the issue before were a tracker will have results for Grey's Anatomy, but more for Greys Anatomy, so despite raw search actually being supported, we have to disable it for the indexer.

I don’t think we’d ever want to filter what we search for, but I think I see why we are, seems like an edge case that wasn’t considered, so a bug.

I think searching for both should be fine, more requests, but at least we’ll get the best results.

Opened PR Fixed: Include full series title in episode search by markus101 · Pull Request #6844 · Sonarr/Sonarr · GitHub for both changes
