Unknown Series from Manual Search

Just started using Sonarr and so far it’s great. Managed to figure out most things but this has me stumped. Added a new series, The 100, which I had some but not all of the episodes. Sonarr recognises the series, finds it on my network, and renames everything without any problems. Clicking Search for all episodes results in the missing episodes not being downloaded. Clicking manual search finds a list of episodes but even ones the are obviously correct are marked as Unknown Series and will not allow me to download them (ie no icon to add to download queue). The indexer in this instance is KickassTorrents.

Not sure if this is a bug or if I am just doing something wrong.

What’s an an example of this (actual release name)?

Not being able to grab unknown series is intentional at the time: https://trello.com/c/T7A2beBJ/892-ability-to-force-grab-for-unknown-series-episode-s-in-manual-search

Thanks for the link. Have added my vote to have the ability to grab an unknown series from manual search.

This is two of the results that come up as unknown series that I know are correct:

http://kickass.so/the-100-s02e01-hdtv-x264-killers-eztv-t9747069.html

This is one of the results that come up as known series and will let me download but when opened in Kickass it lists the series as The Mentalist (just weird as it is The 100 and correct episode):

This is one of the results that lists as known, will let me download, and when opened in Kickass it lists as correct series (basically correct at all points):

Hey, I was just about to post this exact same issues with ‘The 100’. Some releases from Kickass are being flagged as unknown series. For me the one in question is The 100 S02E10 1080p WEB-DL DD5 1 H 264-KiNGS[rarbg]

The issue is the brackets at the end, its getting picked up by the absolute episode parsing.

At the moment its not ideal, but there isn’t a clean workaround we can implement.

Eventually we’ll be working on parsing and hope to make it more reliable: https://trello.com/c/32Qmp2Oq/692-advanced-parser

You mean the square brackets [eztv], [ettv], or [rarbg]? At the moment I only download [eztv] or [ettv] releases and the only series that’s having this issue, unknown series, is The 100. Despite the fact that every torrent has [eztv] or [ettv] on the end. Weird o.O Thanks for looking into it though

Yes.

Its likely also the only series that “matches” anime style releases, being “The 100”, matching 100 as absolute number 100.

Is there any way around this issue for now? Or should we just handle this show manually.

So it seems this is working fine for nzb’s, but not for torrents. I just did a search for The 100 - 2x12 - Rubicon and it found the 1080p release on nMatrix, but not on Kickass.

It appears to be white space related i.e. The.100 is recognized but The 100 is not a recognized series…

No, it has to do with the fact that the KAT releases have things in square brackets at the end, which are treated as the anime release group so it handles it differently.

Not for those releases.

Ah ok, I get it now. Thanks.

So this is also the reason that Sonarr cannot find episodes from Ridiculousness except for the SD version?

When I do a manual search it only show’s the SD versions but that version is not getting downloaded since the profile has been set to HD.

https://kickass.to/usearch/Ridiculousness%20S06E10/

The above search shows 3 versions and one of them is the HD version that I want.

@senaxx thats because only one of those files is from a verified uploader…

@delphi_actual I thought there was an option before. To download other torrents that are not from a verified uploader? Atleast I don’t mind that they are not verified.

Yes, in the KAT settings within Sonarr.

yeah, I knew the setting was there but it didn’t show up for me. I thought it was maybe removed in a version or something and I missed it in the changelog.

But I removed all my indexers restarted NZBDrone and then re-added Kickass and this made the option show up for me again.

Its an advanced setting, but you didn’t need to remove it and re-add it to see it.

Ah, that’s why I did might missed it. Never knew it only showed up if only advanced settings was enabled.

How about these ones? Also stated as unknown series:
