Hi,
recently I’ve started to get series that don’t recognize search results and giving an Unknown Series error, even manually downloaded episodes are not recognized in the series folder, unless I completely rename them to S01E02 for example.
Scanning for new episodes also gives no errors and no results.
Most recent example:
Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai
It’s the same story with Hidan no Aria AA, which is recent as well, always gives the Unknown Series error.

This is a known issue, with no immediate fix possible.
Ahh that’s too bad, I tried looking at the source code, but have no clue where to look really.
Would it not work if you took the results title, try to replace any title known by Sonarr with just nothing and use what’s left to determine the episode number?

Known names by Sonarr:

Subtraction( as this point the series should be recognized ) :

Remove brackets/whitespaces/special tokens (probable already used) :

That’s what I’d do in PHP at least.
Sonarr parses the release then finds the series, not the other way around, we’re working on improving the parsing so its smarter, but thats a ways away from being in a usable state.
Same issue here. Hopefully someone can come up with a quick fix in the meantime.
I guess I will have to manually download this series 
But atleast I can search for the nzb and grab it through Sonarr
