Show "matches an alias for series with TVDB ID"

Hi,

For the current anime show True Beauty when searching manually or automatically I get the error for what should be valid releases:

“True Beauty matches an alias for series with TVDB ID: 388231”

This is the series I want to download:
여신강림 (2024) - TheTVDB.com

This is the series with the alias:
여신강림 - TheTVDB.com

I found a previous thread about this issue for another series:

And based on that it seems like someone on your end needs to remove the alias from the 2020 show?

There is an even older show which doesn’t have the (year) in the title: True Beauty - TheTVDB.com

so i assume it’s an error that the 2020 show has this alias

That wouldn’t fix your problem, you’d just end up with an unknown series.

Likely, we’ll need a full release name in order to support it properly.

If you can provide full release names for both the 2020 and 2024 series we can look at correcting the existing alias and adding one for the 2024 releases, both these should be added to the request form covered in the FAQ: Sonarr FAQ | Servarr Wiki

fair enough, examining the scene releases they don’t put 2024 in the title so it’s their fault. Just gonna have to add this show each week manually. Oh well and thanks for your help!

Not necessarily, there are lots of shows with similar/identical titles that work. Submit the full release name to the request sheet and if possible it’ll be added.
