Scene Naming (TVDB Naming Conflicts)

Having read through most of the responses here I’m not sure if the series I’m having trouble with is a candidate or not.

I’m trying to add 2016’s The Secret Agent (http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=300658&lid=7) and I’m downloading from tvchaos. Their naming for these episodes looks like “The Secret Agent S01E03 (31 July 2016) HD 720p”. When I add the appropriate series in Sonarr the rss feeds don’t pick it up, but when I add http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=279494&lid=7 sonarr picks them up from the rss feed. That’s great for the current 3 episodes, but when episode 4 drops tomorrow sonarr won’t see it because the original 1992 series only had 3 episodes.

So I’ve seen posts about series with show year problems not being appropriate; does this fit into that rule? If not this also seem like it might be specific to Scene releases, and I’m not sure if this series qualifies for that either (I’m only vaguely faniliar with what a Scene release actually is).

Don’t want to clog the pipeline with garbage…

Thanks!

Yes that’s a candidate add it to the list and we can get it added.

Problems searching and importing episodes from the series “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After”. I was able to add this series in Sonarr but am not able to search or import episodes as they are being released. Here is an example of a release name: “90.Day.Fiance.Happily.Ever.After.S01E01.Its.Only.The.Beginning.HDTV.x264” . The logs show unknown series when checking to see if this is a viable import or not. I had to manually change the name of the release to exactly match the series title. I also have the series “90 Day Fiance” added to Sonarr but haven’t had any problems with that one.

It’s the :

It will need to be added to the list.

submitted request but TVDB shows “masters of illusion (2014)” but are posted without the date

Are you posting here because you entered the same thing in both fields incorrectly (TVDB Name should be the actual name from TheTVDB)?

No, I thought I entered them correctly on the form, apparently I didn’t. tvdb lists it as Masters of Illusion (2014) but drone doesn’t pick it up as a release because the are being posted without the date in the title. Sorry for any confusion. Just thought I should clarify. I see it has been fixed though - much appreciated, thank you.

The TVDB name you entered was the exact same as the scene name (without the year) where it should have been Masters of Illusion (2014), otherwise it would get rejected because they are both the same (unless we happened to either know it was wrong or looked up the ID). Thanks for clarifying though.

I’m also wondering about this.
I’m currently running v2.0.0.4326 and the only aliases listed for “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” are:

  • Avengers Assemble
  • Marvels Avengers Assemble

Yet, according to The Submissions linked at the top, Marvels Avengers-Ultron Revolution was “already added” as far back as March:

3/18/2016 6:14:47	| 264030	| Marvels Avengers-Ultron Revolution	| Marvel's Avengers Assemble	| Already added

As a follow-up, I’ve also seen it listed as “Avengers Ultron Revolution”, should that be added to the list separately?

It’s an alias for season 3, not the full series so it will only show when you hover over an episode in season 3.

Yes.

Thanks Markus. I don’t see the alias when hovering over Season 3 episodes, but Sonarr did seem to grab the most recent episode so, I guess it is working.

Hover over the epiosde number:

Thanks. Apparently, I’m a little slow. That totally works.

There was a problem with the latest season of Star Wars Rebels. I completely missed the episode “An Inside Man” and ended up with two copies of “Visions and Voices” as E9 and E10.

Not sure if Sonarr can do anything about this, I guess the files are uploaded using two different numbering systems.
