I’ve been noticing over the past 3-4 weeks that the vast majority of the shows downloaded are not imported. When I go to the activity log and click in the little i for information, it shows grabbed and not imported. The files remain in the download folder but do not import. I am using Transmission as my download client. Shows had been properly importing as of December 2015.
How can I troubleshoot/resolve this problem?
Check Activity: Queue to see why they aren’t importing as well as the log files.
Seems to be the same problem that i have except that i use usenet instead of transmission, see Cannot import episodes or update sonarr
Here’s an example from the Activity Queue and the log of an episode grabbed and downloaded but not imported.
I’m not sure what to do. I saw that Wooldoor has a similar problem but I don’t know if a manual install of the application fixed the problem or not.

That only shows the grab, if you check Activity: Queue is is visible there?
If you’re on 2.0.0.3871 you’ll need to manually upgrade as there is a bug in that version that prevents importing (and upgrading through Sonarr).

I am on 2.0.0.3872. I tried downloading an episode just now. It does appear in the Activity Queue while downloading but once the download is finished, it is no longer in the activity queue. I can only see information about in the history tab. It still shows as grabbed in the history tab but not imported. The file remains in the download folder.
What should I try next? And thank you so much for your help.
Is the download still in Transmission or is it being removed after it completes?
Is Completed Download Handling (CDH) enabled in Sonarr?
It is being removed.
Thats the problem, Sonarr relies on Transmission telling Sonarr its complete and where to import it from, since its being removed Sonarr doesn’t know its complete/where to find it, so it stops tracking it.
If you have Transmission stop it and enable Remove Completed downloads in Sonarr, Sonarr should be able to import it and remove it afterwards.
You nailed it. I had the download ratio set to zero in Transmission so it was removing the download from the list. I just ran another test and it worked. Thanks so much. The only question now is how do I get the download to eventually disappear from the Transmission Queue? I do have the Completed Download Handling Remove enabled.
Also, are there specific settings should I use in Transmission in the Transfer Management Tab?
There are settings for Limits–each with a check mark:
Stop Seeding at ratio:
Stop Seeding when inactive for XX minutes
Remove from the transfer list when seeding completes

Sonarr will remove it when its stopped in Transmission, I think thats the only check it relies on at the moment, so stopping at ratio or stopping due to inactivity should both work.
