Cant open localhost

i ran the command in cmd but nothing happened. ran it as an administrator.

also when i run nzbdrone.Console it shows nzbdrone.host has stopped working

maybe if someone has a link to an older version of nzbdrone that might help?

If no results were displayed, you don’t have that issue!

Are you on Windows 8/8.1? If so, can you disable Windows Defender service in services.msc… it’s actually a full-fledged anti-virus application now instead of the version in 7. From what you pasted, it’s definitely crashing nzbdrone.exe when that exception is thrown.

LJ

I’d also run MalwareBytes (www.malwarebytes.org). No need to the ā€œtrial.ā€

You might have a virus/malware that’s creating proxy connection attempts.

LJ

its strange i cant disable windows defender…

disabled defender from the defender app and dint work. trying malwarebytes now

Told ya wrong too on that defender thing (they must have removed it as a service in 8/8.1):

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/turn-windows-defender-on-off#turn-windows-defender-on-off=windows-7

LJ

If disabling defender works, I’d add the nzbdrone (sonarr) as an exception

disabling defender dint work as well. tried malwarebytes it found some pup.elite which i quarantined and restarted pc but still no luck.

just dont want to give up on nzbdrone (sonarr). its been the best tv app for me

Try these?

http://update.nzbdrone.com/v2/master/windows/

Dev is on there too. I’m running it on Server 2008 R2 w/o issues.

not working. any idea if i could use event viewer or something to log what actually happens when i run nzbdrone.exe? or maybe anyone can teamviewer and help me

I donated to nzbdrone before because i absolutely love the service and am happily willing to do it again if the developers can help me out also would be willing to donate a little to anyone who helps me out with this as it has halted all my tv shows and is getting really frustrating.

Its just a kind gesture from my end to whoever is willing to put in the extra effort even though lordjynx and markus101 have been really helpful

Make sure you’re using the latest version of .net: http://www.microsoft.com/net - click on the ā€œInstall .NET nowā€ link (on the right).

You also never answered my previous question:

An older version won’t change anything, this is coming from something not working correctly on your system, not something within Sonarr’s code.

What markus101 said… did you have a virus/malware/adware/whatever in the past? Even after cleaning, if it changed proxy settings, that is usually left behind as well. All the searches I’ve done point to some sort of Anti-Virus causing it… but, you said you didn’t have any A/V installed so…

Do you have VirtualBox [free] or some VM software? Perhaps you could spin up some quick VM and test inside it… if it’s working in there, something got installed that’s messing with sonarr.

LJ

I just installed this windows 8.1 2 weeks back and never installed any antivirus at all. in malwarebytes it did show some adware but i already cleaned it.

I did install .net already also ran the command ā€œnetsh winsock resetā€ as mentioned in the link you gave me. I dont have proxy setup in internet explorer.

Did you actually try to install that package? Its the latest available version.

Its two weeks old and already has malware, could have something else that malware bytes didn’t detect.

I’m currently running Sonarr on Windows 8.1 without issue, as are others. I don’t have anything else to add, at this time.

Try the VM like I mentioned above. That would narrow down your OS being the problem at least. Install 8.1 inside a VM and just sonarr… see if it crashes.

LJ

well i just got nzbdrone working on the virtual pc. now im thinking if i can connect my drives to the virtual pc i can just let it work like that.

any idea how i can do it in vm virtualbox? I tried adding the drive through the settings but its not showing up on the virtual system.

lol i cant believe my bad luck. i just got it running on the vm and when i copied my logs etc it stopped working. Now even if i uninstall and reinstall on the VM its not working…
