Description of issue:
When I try to set sonarr to find and download torrents for a TV show (The Good Place in this example) it downloads the wrong quality. I have it set to download anything from HDT 720p to Bluray2160p and cutoff being bluray-2160p. Sonarr tries to download highest quality first, in this case its a web-dl 1080p for season 2, the first webdl1080p in the list has 0 seeds so it moves to the next, but it skips over all the other webdl1080ps and goes to the next quality down. I’ve attached screenshots
The only release for S02E07 in the logs is for The Good Place S02E07 DVDRip X264-REWARD, given that it’s impossible to say why it wouldn’t have grabbed one of the WEB 1080p releases as they appear to be fine.
If you’re doing a full season search it could be that the results didn’t come back from the indexer (debug logs of the search would show that))), which would be outside of Sonarr’s control and something the indexer or Jackett would need to address.
youre right auto search of the individual episode does get the proper episode. What other logs could I get to figure out this issue?
Not really much else, the debug logs will show you what Sonarr received. It’s either due to how Jackett is sending the query to the indexer or how the indexer interprets it.
from the logs it looks like you did a season search, not individual episode searches - but while it found a season pack for s02 it didnt download it (not sure why), it only downloaded s02e10, s02e11, and s02e12

season vs episode searches will return different results - if you have the debug logs from the s02e07 auto search then you could probably work out why it picked the one it did
btw,you might have something wrong with one of your indexers, or sonarr doesnt like it
