What's the best way to update Mono Mac Version?

I noticed that’s there is a new stable version of mono that’s been released. Is there any need to update if Sonarr is working ok? If so what’s the best way to update it on the Mac so I don’t loose any settings in Sonarr. I don’t see an option to update it anywhere.

System: Update will allow you to update.

You can see the change log to see what has changed, but generally you want to stay up to date as fixes are released and in the event of issues you need to be on the latest version to rule out any issues with the old version.

Hi markus. Thanks for the response.

Do you mean System: Update through the Mac itself or Sonarr settings?

Within the Sonarr UI.

Thanks markus. I updated Sonarr to the latest earlier this week so I’ll check the log when I get in to see the updated mono and what’s changed.

Sorry, I totally misread your post.

For updating mono it depends, typically its best to hold off for a bit to see if any of the early adopters found issues with it, we’ve had issues in the past with bug in different versions.

Might also make sense to wait for the first point release, for 4.2 that would be 4.2.1.

To update mono you’ll need to do it outside of Sonarr, via their site to grab the latest or brew if you’re using that.

No probs. I’ll hang off just now then until the next point release.
