Hi guys. Can you tell me what the difference is in Plex notification when you set Update library to No vs Yes when the other options Download/Update/Rename are all set to Yes? I am looking for a way to notify Plex and have it only scan the folder that was updated as I am using a cloud and a library update can take hours sometimes. Does Sonarr tell it that a certain show, movie or folder was updated or does it just say "something has been added, scan for new stuff"

Depending on your Plex Server settings (in Plex itself) it can do a partial scan, if that is disabled it will tell Plex to rescan all the TV libraries for new content.
Update Library = no means it does nothing (and we should require that be enabled likely).
On Download is when a new episode is downloaded, On upgrade when an existing episode file is replaced with a new one and On Rename is when the series is renamed.
Thanks again, I have been asking some normally simple questions the last couple of days but I’m trying to optimize everything for cloud storage use. So, Sonarr tells Plex the specific show/folder that was updated? Great.
Best effort, yes.
If Sonarr is able to do partial updates (depends on the plex server settings) and it can find the correct series in Plex’s libraries, otherwise it will tell plex to update everything.
