Web Browser User Interface (UI) Improvement Suggestions

Hi. I am new to Sonarr and would like to suggest a couple of minor User Interface (UI) changes that i think would improve the look and ease of use.

  1. Make the main Sonarr Web Page Header (the grey background bit) FIXED at the top of each page so that the lower CONTENT (in the white box) scrolls up & under it. That would make it easier/quicker to navigate from section to section as the header would not disappear when scrolling down long pages.

  1. Move the COLOURED KEY COLUMNS from the bottom of the SERIES and CALENDAR pages to a single line along the top of the CONTENT section (in the white box) of the page.

Regards & thanks for any possible consideration. SONARR is a great tool.

We have already started work on some UI changes, including a static top bar, but the existing UI doesn’t lend itself to a static header.

I don’t understand why you’d want to have the legend at the top of the page, it’d be in the way once you understand the colours.

Thanks for the quick update/feedback. It’s good to hear that some UI updates are planned.

I understand what you mean about having the legend moved to the top. Maybe an alternative would be to have it in a fixed/floating single line footer at the bottom of the screen, so that it is always visible even if the active page is longer than the screen depth.

We’ve been playing with a sticky footer, but we’re not likely going to keep it, you end up wasting too much vertical space to keep something there that doesn’t provide a ton of information and it makes the flow awkward as your content is always framed.

OK, that all makes good sense. Thanks for the feedback.

One more UI suggestion.

I really like the Calendar view, with the instant info you need on the status of each episode. Would it be possible to add a TICK (or some other symbol) once the Cut-Off Quality has been reached/downloaded for that episode.

My settings usually result in the HDTV-720P version being downloaded first - at this point the episode colour in the Calendar view turns Green. This is good.

However, my quality settings also look to download a WEBDL-720P version if/when it becomes available. If this happens i would like to know this from the Calendar view - hence some extra indication like a TICK that shows the Quality Cut-Off has now been reached.

Hope that makes sense.

Exactly - sorry i missed that you had already raised this suggestion on github. +1
