Use source quality in file name

Hi,

I’m using {Quality.Full} in my filename so that an automatic subtitle downloader can select on source quality and release group.

This worked fine while downloading HD-720p qualities.
The name is “Show.S05E14.Title.HDTV-720p.x264.AC3-Releasegroup”

But when downloading SD quality, the HDTV is replaced with SDTV. This while the source is still HDTV.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to show the source (HDTV) instead of SDTV. Since this also shows DVD when the source is a DVD.
The quality of the movie file itself is shown by the 720p.x264.AC3

My sub downloader looks for a source SDTV and doesn’t find it.

regards,
Stijn

You’re saying you’re downloading SD Quality but it’s SD quality ?

You can use the Quality settings to set the name used when renaming, so you could change SDTV to HDTV if you want it to match the source instead of the quality.

Sonarr considers HDTV (=480p.HDTV) SDTV (but also PDTV and other low-res TV sources).
Look at it like this:
3 Resolutions: 480p, 720p, 1080p.
3 Sources: TV, WEB-DL, Disk.

I’ve been planning on adding HDTV.480p, WEBRip and BRRip (=480p.BluRay=DVD) etc separately, but that probably won’t happen till v3.

You could also use {Original Title} to use the entire original name, but that could lead to issues for shows with TheXEM/scene numbering mappings.

Hi Markus, although not ideal (since PDTV will also be saved as HDTV) this does solve my problem until a better option is available. thank you.
