Use Download Station in Sonarr/Radarr: No default destination

I’m trying to add the Download Station as download client in Radarr/Sonarr and I’m not sure what to put in the Directory field.

The description reads:

Optional shared folder to put downloads into, leave blank to use the default Download Station location

Whether I put my destination folder (in my case “volume1/download/”) or I leave it blank to use the default one, it returns the “No default destination” error.

Did anybody manage to add the Synology Download Station as Download Client?

You need to enter the shared folder, not the full path to that folder. If you have a shared folder in Synology called downloads then you just enter downloads.

Hi, also tried “download” as directory, but same error.

But above you say your folder is called downloads, not download :thinking:

My mistake in the first post, it is without s.

When i manual import from this directory, it finds the files i put in there.image

I tried

  • volume1/download
  • volume1/download/
  • download
  • download/

With download you got the exact same error that no default is set?

Yes, same error. When I put “/volume1/download/” in the field, I get

Cannot start with /

Solution:

The user I used for Synology with Sonarr had no default destination because I didn’t log in DSM with it. Strange enough has every user a own default destination folder. Also you have to give access to the download station/smb and file station app in Synology.
