Upgrading Quality - Season packs only / Do not upgrade single episodes

Hey,

My preferred protocol is Torrent using Private Trackers.

Problem:

  • Latest season of a show is complete. Current quality: WEB-DL
  • Bluray becomes available. Single episodes are out before season packs.
  • Single episodes grabbed. Maybe incomplete or different groups.
  • Single episodes abandoned in favor of packs.
  • Unable to seed long term. Need manual intervention, possibly download a pack instead.

Proposed solution:

  • Option - On full season upgrade: Prevent grabbing single episodes.

Couldn’t find anything on this exact topic, but I apologize if I missed it. Seems to be alot of topics on preferring single episodes over season packs, or just season packs in general.

Using a delay isn’t really reliable, and using a very high value for delay would introduce other problems (for my use). My current solution is restricting RSS to a single indexer that has curated content. It’s reliable, but will usually introduce delays.

I remember reading a while back that V3 will allow much more control, like filters against each release type. If true, you could exclude “e01” through to “e30” against BluRay to cover it when that happens.

Until then I’d suggest get yourself onto a proper tracker where you would never see individual BluRay episodes ;).
