Upgraded to v4 now nothing works

I’m running sonarr on truenas scale V25.04.0, I finally upgraded to v4 and like I’m seeing, the entire app broke. I tried to roll it back but since the app was broken it wouldn’t launch and I havent been able to roll back. I deleted the app and tried to do a fresh install. The install will not complete. Now I’m stuck. I’m not sure what to do now. Is there any way to manually install v3 again so I can get things running again? I do not know what to do at this point. It was working perfectly until I decided to install the update. Thanks everyone for your help.

You’re going to be much better off figuring out what the issue with v4 was and fixing it.

The most common cause is prior database corruption that Sonarr runs into when doing some large DB migrations in v4.

The log files requested when you opened this thread will be the first step, which can be retrieved without access to the UI.

My apologies for not including the necessary information. I’m trying to figure out how to get those files. I currently do not have an install of Sonarr on my machine. I deleted it to reinstall and the new install will not complete. Is there another way to get the log files?

They could be old log files from after the upgrade, they may have the some of the information, but not likely to be debug/trace that’s needed for more in-depth troubleshooting. Probably more worth figuring out why the install isn’t completing at this time.

After several hours of messing around, I was finally able to get the new version to install. I ended up creating a share of my sonarr config dataset, then from my windows pc, I accessed that share, deleted all of the files that were still in there. Apparently it allowed the new installation of sonarr to create new files during the install and it worked great. now I’m just reconfiguring ALL of the sonarr settings and it seems to work now. Thank you.
