Firstly wasn’t sure what to call the title of the topic as i am not actually sure what the correct term is called.
However what i wanted to know was how often does NZBDrone Run an Update for the list of episodes it looks out for. I have a show that i have seen on a site the latest episode is out which is Episode 5 however in NZBDrone when i go the the show list it says that only 4 have been scheduled to air or have been aired.
So i know i can run a manual refresh to make NZBDrone to update that show and include any episodes after Episode 4 however i am wondering how often NZBDrone performs this automatically
If this is a little confusing i apologize i am currently battling a Cold and my head is not quite thinking straight
This is actually not an NzbDrone issue. It is in fact a TVDB issue. If the content is not updated on TheTVDB, then NzbDrone has no way of knowing if there are any other episodes to follow the last.
You can always do what I did. I signed up on TheTVDB site because I have many British shows that no one really updates on a regular basis, and once I update the series info I go back to drone and do a “Force Refresh” a few times so that it can pick up the updated info.
Hope this helps.

@shedrock - Perfect! I don’t think I could have said that better myself. By default NzbDrone auto updates series/episode information every 12 hours (only applies when the data is on TheTVDB though).
In the next release NzbDrone will be using Trakt for integration, so the update path would be: TVDB -> Trakt -> NzbDrone, I believe Trakt updates on a schedule, but can be forced if you’re a VIP user, so it might take a bit longer to hit NzbDrone.
thanks for the info guys and shedrock the show i am talking about is a british one as well
Is there anything that can be done if the TVDB is wrong?
there are some series that they insist on sticking to what the producers call the series breakdown which can be different to how scene breaks it down.
Thanks
The simple answer is “no”. I’ve tried over on their site and lets just say it did not go well with the board admin. You can try at your own risk but you probably won’t get a friendly response.

@Harroguk - NzbDrone uses http://thexem.de to map from TVDB numbering to how the scene numbers that series. You can make changes there and NzbDrone will use them to keep everything in sync and keeping applications that use TVDB (such as XBMC) happy.
Cool, I have made a trip to thexem.de and attempted to add some mapping for The Gadget Show.
Now to see if I understood the documentation correctly and did it right
