Can Sonarr use the Bittorrent API to automatically skip files in torrents with unwanted extensions?
This will potentially speed up downloading and torrent completion while preventing risk from unwanted files (executables).
BT itself does not have the feature to skip unwanted filename extensions automatically.
It can not. If there was a way to indicate their failed because of the extension then Sonarr could work off that (Sonarr would need to be updated to support that).
Perhaps, with the next update Sonarr can use the BT API to obtain the torrent’s file list and then send a command to skip files with unwanted extensions.
Just an idea to make Sonarr work more effectively.
seeing as thats already baked into sabnzbd, why isnt it part of bt clients, do they have addons for it?
