Unable to find any releases

Description of issue: Can’t find proper release

Hello,

I’m using sonarr with prowlarr as the indexer manager and usenet. I’m trying to download the anime Naruto Shippuden in German. The indexer I use returns plenty of results for every season, example:

Naruto.Shippuden.S03.German.DL.AC3.1080p.BluRay.x265-ABJ

There are several season packs for each season as well as each episode seperately. If search for them in prowlarr itself I can find all of them no problem. After adding the show to sonarr, it is unable to find anything apart from 1 single season pack for the first season.

If I, for example, go to the third season and click on interactive search, then go to prowlarrs history tab to see what it’s searching for I see this:

Why is it searching for season one? This happens for every season. If I edit the show in sonarr, it’s type is set to Standard. If I set it to Anime / Absolute it doesn’t change the behaviour.

The quality profile the show is using is this:

(First 720p, then 1080p, then lower was my rational)

I haven’t changed anything in the Quality settings.

I would expect it to find something for season 1 (because it’s always searching for season 1 for some reason) but it doesn’t.

I’m new to sonarr so I might miss something obvious. Thanks in advance.

What Series Type is Naruto Shippuden set to?
In Sonarr are your indexers set to include the correct categories for those releases?

Unfortunately the logs come in too late to see what Sonarr is searching.

Seems like they’re exclusively released under TV/Anime.

It’s super weird.

It managed to download all the seasons up to 14 now. But it wasn’t doing it right away. When I initially posted, it was indeed not downloading anything. But a day or so later I came back and it had download S2 and S3, I click on Search monitored again - I go away for an hour - nothing. I forget about it for a night or so and it downloaded a couple more seasons. I never actually saw any files being downloaded / in the queue. They’re just there some time later.

Which would be okay of course. But I need to repeatedly click Search monitored. I’ve been doing this for 3 or 4 days now and am up to S14.

I would check what sites they were grabbed from and check the posting dates, cause to me it sounds like they were very recently posted.
