Description of issue: Hi - I’m trying to use TVChaosUK as an indexer. I have it set up both as a Torznab indexer (using Jackett) as well as an RSSTorrent feed in Sonarr. It appears that neither of these indexers actually find any of the TVChaosUk content in Sonarr.

For example. I have set up Match of the Day as a Series in Sonarr. I know the latest episode exists in TVChaosUK, yet Sonarr does not pick it up. It is in the TVChaosUK RSS feed (when viewed with a browser) and a manual search via Jacket also shows the latest episode as being available, however I cannot seem to get Sonarr to ‘see’ the episode…most frustrating. If I look at last weeks episode, a manual search shows the episode being available in Skytorrents, TPB, etc, yet it simply will not appear for TVChaos (despite it being there). I watch a lot of UK tv so I’m frustrated I can’t get this to work. Any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks in advance…

Philip

EDIT: Actually…having viewed the Jackett logs, I can see that Jackett is looking for Match of the Day 2017.11.04

I’m suspecting this is not how it is named in TVChaosUK as they show the filename as Match of the Day (04 Nov 2017) 720p HDTV

Could this be the issue?

Yeah, that looks like it’s the issue.

Thanks Markus. So is there a way to fix this? I use TVChaosUK regularly and it appears that this is an issue for pretty much all of what they post. I’ve used the example of Match of The Day but suspect this is the same for many of the other TVChaosUK files. (I tried X factor and The Apprentice and had the same issue).

Bottom line is that TVChaosUK does not seem to be compatible with what Sonarr is looking for.

Any help, much appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

If they are named that way, nothing that can be done. I imagine X Factor and The Apprentice have different issues unless they are also released using the air date in that format.

I’ll check but I think X Factor and The Apprentice use the same air date format. Is there a way of modifying what Sonarr looks for (in terms of naming format) to get around this problem? (I appreciate it’s not a Sonarr issue). Thanks - Phil.

TVChaos doesn’t use proper scene naming conventions for many of the torrents, so won’t really work that well with Sonarr. It’s just life, unfortunately.
