Any possibility in getting tv show recommendations based on shows you watch?

Bump. Would be so cool to have this feature…there’s gotta be some piece of open source code for this that can be tweaked.

I’ve donated and will continue BTC because Sonar is AWESOME and thanks for doing it…just small donations though. If a recommendation feature were there I’d definitely donate more.

Usually I just look at EZTV’s site and see what torrents they’re running look for interesting shows…

I believe trakt.tv will do this for you as well.

I use it to monitor watched, etc.

We’ve discussed doing this as part of an integration with Trakt to get watched statuses for episodes as well as recommendations.

To get recommendations you need to know about the other shows as well as the shows to base it off of, having one without the other doesn’t help, Sonarr knows the shows you have already, but doesn’t have a complete list of other shows available, skyhook (our TVDB proxy has the all the series, but not the ones you want.

We’ve also talked about (or at least had a thread about) having a preview calendar, where you could look and see what new series are coming and could show both series and season premieres.

Right didn’t think of that…Sonarr isn’t a database of what’s out there after all…

So trakt integration would be awesome! Actually it wouldn’t even be needed if Plex got the unsupported app store running again since I watch most things with Plexx. They had a trakt.tv plug in…
