I have found torrentday to be the best torrent indexer around and i have it working with CPS (seeding extracting etc.) it would be great if it worked with Sonar to ensure i grab every tv show regardless of take downs on usenet…
@markus101 - I really understand you’re busy, however i’ve seen replies to requests much newer than mine so just wondering if you could take a look at this and let me know any plans for the above indexer in sonar.
Torrentday currently works really well with couchpotato so this would complete my set up as i recently moved to Sonar from sickbeard and am loving it!
Sorry about that. At this time we aren’t planning any more direct indexer integrations, but will be looking at a more generic approach, not sure if that will fit with TorrentDay or not.
+1 for Nick’s request. TorrentDay has been my very favorite indexer for movies and TV series for a few years now. And although I mostly use it in the the U.S., my UK friends tell me it’s become especially important in the UK now, since it’s one of the only top torrent sites that’s continued to work around the various UK attempts to shut all torrenting down.
I had TorrentDay working with CP and with the old TV Shows App (OS X preference-pane based app), via TD’s RSS feed. So I’m hoping that once Sonarr supports generic RSS torrent feeds, then TD support will be as easy as pasting in the RSS.
Regardless, Sonarr is my favorite app now – it beats Couch P and TV Shows App and the rest hands down. (And once I can figure out how to hook Torrent Day into Sonarr, I’ll be removing all of those other apps off of my computer.)
As couchpotato has torrentday implemented are you guys able to use any of their code for use in sonar? torrentday seems to only produce a link to a category i.e. tv shows x264 which then we need to filter out with a search… Not sure how hard this would be but is it something you would consider to implement it?
We’d need details on their API, if they don’t have a search based API then we’re not going to add support, but instead it can be used with the generic RSS support that was added in develop recently.
Can’t find much regarding an api on their website seems like they just have an rss you generate and then have to filter for the TV show you want within utorrent using the ‘RSS Downloader’ function.
What do you think about that code in github though?
