Synology NAS - Drone Factory Deprecated

I know many here already understand and know how to deal with this, I’m not that guy. I have a basic understanding and things are working now. My fear is that I will change something and need to spend hours figuring out how to fix it. So for the benefit of other Synology / Sabnzbd users, can you help me out with this?

so here’s the “Standard” setup for Synology NAS systems as I understand it.
Running most current everything of Sonarr, Sabnzbd and Synology 7/5/2017.

The directory structure of the NAS creates default folders when installing:
Sabnzbd uses these:
volume1/downloads/complete (and also /incomplete)
This is what I also have my drone factory set to. /complete

I have my sabnzbd “TV” category setup as
volume1/tv/NEW
Within volume1/tv there are all the folders for shows, such as volume1/tv/breaking bad

So if blank out the drone factory entry, What happens exactly in my situation.
What would you recommend I change things to?

What folder is Drone Factory pointed to right now?

I’d recommend having SAB put unsorted TV shows under /volume1/downloads/complete for full separation of sorted and unsorted files, but it’s not critical.

Thanks Markus

My current Drone factory is set to:
volume1/downloads/complete

My Sabnzbd “TV” category is set to
volume1/tv/NEW

If I blank out drone factory, does Sonarr use the API to use
volume1/tv/NEW?
If so should I change THIS category of Sabnzbd TV to
volume1/downloads/complete ?

Hope this makes sense

If that’s the case your Drone Factory isn’t going to be used unless an item Sonarr can import ends up in volume1/downloads/complete.

It would be already.

No, you’d want it in a separate subfolder still volume1/downloads/complete/unsorted_tv (or similar).
