Sonarr version (exact version): Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): OS: ((Debug logs)): (Make sure debug logging is enabled in settings and post the full log to hastebin/pastebin/dropbox/google drive or something similar, do not post them directly here) Description of issue:
Ok, So I currently have a folder labeled “TV Shows” imported to my Sonarr. It houses all of my more common and popular TV Shows. I have a second folder labeled “TV That Teaches” which is more of the History, Discovery, BBC, etc… Specials, Documents and Shows. For organization sake (there are missing episodes, names need to be cleaned, etc… I would like to keep the 2 separate in Sonarr.
Any suggestions how I may add a second folder and make them searchable and organizable all on their own? I way to switch back and forth between 2 Sonarr’s perhaps?
Sonarr supports multiple root folders (TV Shows is one, TV That Teaches is another) so you can add them to Sonarr, but they’re going to appear in the same lists. Without a way to separate them via filtering, at least at this time.
Would “Series Type” help accomplish this goal? I have been hesitant to use it since I can not add a category to the already listed “Standard”, “Daily” & “Anime”
Series type changes how Sonarr searches for things (an what it allows when parsing), beyond the documentaries and sometimes named poorly adding another series type wouldn’t help for separation.
You could have 2 separate instances of Sonarr running. In the future, maybe some sort of user profile feature? I would never use it but others might. Just a thought.
