On a series page, where one can see the downloaded episodes it is possible to see, with the filter options, which subtitles are included in the downloaded files. I think it would be great, especially for me personally, to be able to “upgrade” a download until it has the right subtitles or any other way to make sure the download has the right subtitles
You can edit the columns with the little gear icon next to the column headers, and add subtitles.
Hi, thanks for your answer but that is not what i meant, I found the option you describe. So what I was trying to say is: if it’s possible for Sonarr to check if a file has subs, and even knows which subs, why can’t I tell to Sonarr to only download with a specific sub. Maybe I am a noob, but I haven’t figured out in all those years I use Sonarr how to create a filter/profile for the subs I want. I mean the same kind of process is built in with the quality profiles and upgrade of quality until a certain level.
Sonarr downloads based on filename, it cannot analyse the file in advance to know what subs are included (or check the nfo etc.) So unless the filename consistently listed all the subs included (they don’t and can’t), there is no way for Sonarr to discern.
For subtitles perhaps look into incorporating Bazarr into your stack
thanx for reply, I understand that, but maybe Sonarr should not do it up front, but afterwards. well I think the only way is if all uploads/nzb’s contain all the info we need.
