I have a few shows containing some special characters in their episodes names.
I have imported them in my fresh installation of Sonarr and it failed to recognise the files containing these characters. I renamed them manually and Sonarr identified them but when I tried to rename them using Sonarr, the special characters where replaced with some other strange ones.
For example instead of “Cayó!” my file name became "Cayó!"
I had Sonarr on a raspberry pi running osmc and it was able to rename correctly these files. Now my Sonarr installation is on an orange pi with armbian. What could cause this behaviour?
Also I noticed that Sonarr is not able to rename the subtitle files.
If I have a subtitle file with the correct file name and a video file with wrong file name, after renaming the video file, the subtitle file gets deleted. Is this normal?
Could these behaviours change?
Sonarr show the correct name. Also it shows the correct name on the file’s path after renaming it although it’s not renamed correctly.
If I change it manually it doesn’t recognise the file. I have to remove the problematic character to let Sonarr recognise it.
