Every time my show changes its name, new episodes come with the new title, and I have to rename all the old episodes. This messes up my watched episodes, and I have to manually fix everything where I watch them. I wish they would stick with one name until the end instead of changing the episode titles every time.
This has nothing to do with sonarr. It’s the tvdb that does this. You can simply not rename the files however. Also, depending on your watch platform, this shouldnt affect your watch history for some. E.g. Plex/Emby/Jellyfin should still retain the watch history even if an episode file is renamed.
