Description of issue:
Recently, within the last week, episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert have stopped getting downloaded. Checking the show page, it seems that episodes are being removed from the list before they air. For example, currently, Friday night, the episode for Monday is listed. The episode for Friday night, however, is not. It was listed earlier this week however. Sometime between Wednesday and today the episode has removed itself from the list. Any idea why this is happening?
Same problem here, except now a couple of new episodes including last night’s one are on The TVDB, but they still don’t appear in sonarr. Update series info and scan disk doesn’t work.
Yup. I’m having the same issue. The last one that is listed was 114. 115 through 118 are on TVDB, but will not stay listed within Sonarr. I don’t see any error messages in the logs. Weird.
Same. I looked through my logs and couldn’t find any issues. Tried running a refresh series manually with no luck. It’s just not getting the new episodes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, I’m having this same issue. Currently TheTVDB lists episodes on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of April but Sonarr says there are no episodes on those days, even after a refresh.
Yep. Same problem for me with this show. TVDB has up-to-date new episodes planned for this week, but the local Calendar on Sonarr is not seeing past April 9th.
I tried filing a ticket on github, but it was closed. If its some sort of local cache issue, then I think it should still fall under a bug. The show was off for a week because of Easter. Restarting the app, clicking various refreshes in the Settings. Even changing the show from Daily-to-Standard-to-Daily again didn’t seem to expunge or alleviate the issue.
Yeah, I’ve deleted the show and re-added it. Doesn’t fix it either.
At one point, those shows were added without all of the details - just had the episode numbering info, but then it disappeared from Sonar… Not sure why.
The TVDB entries LOOK fine - I don’t think there’s anything wrong with those…
Yeah, my best guess is that they use a caching server and they get the information from TheTVDB every 24 or 48 hours. When they grabbed their last cache, they were missing (presumably because someone was working on updating the entries at TheTVDB at the time and deleting them to create new ones).
Since their system is specifically designed to get a new cache every 24 or 48 hours, it’ll update itself likely sometime today and everything will work again. They don’t consider it a bug because everything is working the way they designed it and the information in only missing due to a coincidental timing issue.
Skyhook caches for 60 minutes, on top of that TVDB has a delay in updating of about 15 minutes and a cloudflare cache. Skyhook has a 15 minute cache in cloudflare as well, in all it’s between 90 and 120 minutes once the TVDB updates before a Sonarr install can see it.
The problem here is TheTVDB API is still serving old data, and episodes beyond 114 are not there. If it’s not updated soon they’ll need to look into why (it’s their v1 API server still, so it’s not uncommon to have issues).
Hey Markus. Thanks for piping in. I’ve been trying to fix this since early last night, so I’m pretty sure this is one of those that they’ll need to investigate…
Sometimes an edit to the series on TheTVDB forces their API to get an update, which seems to be caused by them making changes outside of a user’s normal ways (perhaps some mod tools), which results in the changes being missed.
EDIT: Looks like their API updated with my change, should be updated on Skyhook in a hour or two.
