Sonnar upgrade/update paths

Hi,

Ran into an issue this morning - running Sonnar on Ubuntu Server 14.04.3. Went to do an update for my system (not specifically for Sonnar) and ran an apt-get update.

I was met with:

Err http://apt.sonarr.tv master InRelease

Err http://apt.sonarr.tv master Release.gpg
Unable to connect to apt.sonarr.tv:http:
Reading package lists… Done
W: Failed to fetch http://apt.sonarr.tv/dists/master/InRelease

W: Failed to fetch http://apt.sonarr.tv/dists/master/Release.gpg Unable to connect to apt.sonarr.tv:http:

W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

As it looks like the apt repo is misbehaving - I just commented it out in my sources.list.d/sonnar.list - temporarily solved my problem - I’m sure someone on the team knows the repo is choking??

My question is - since I installed Sonarr through the repo originally - and I choose to let Sonarr update through the interface - should I only be using one path to update/upgrade - ie, only use apt repository or only use built in interface, but not both??

Thanks.

Our provider is having issues, which is also why the forums are so slow:

Thanks Markus,

Any thought on my question about upgrades/updates though? Should I use apt, the Sonarr interface or both?

Only use one method, using apt updating will alter the permissions, which will break the next time Sonarr tries to update, likely leaving it broken and unable to recover.
