Sonarr's automatic discovery of episodes failing, but manual works fine

Occasionally
Sonarrs RSS parsing turns up nothing, when a manual search at the NZB
indexes source shows 3 episodes. If I click on the missing episode from
the calender and hit manual or automatic search the logs show

DownloadDecisionMaker No results found 9:08pm
NzbSearchService Searching 2 indexers for [NOTAPIRATEDSHOW (US) : S06E05] 9:08pm

However if I drop out and go to the series itself and hit the manual or automatic search it works fine

Sabnzbd Adding report [NOTAPIRATEDSHOW.US.S06E05.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION] to the queue. 9:09pm
DownloadDecisionMaker Processing 3 releases 9:09pm
NzbSearchService Searching 2 indexers for [NOTAPRIATEDSHOW (US) : S06E05] 9:09pm

This happening to anyone else?

I’m running on Ubuntu Server headless.
3.16.0-46-generic #62~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP.

I’ve let it search for last weeks SNL on it’s own, again if I leave it the logs show no matches, but if I search it grabs it right away.

This is a new issue, I’ve been running this config for at least 6 months without issue. Logs don’t mention anything about not being able to search indexers, both indexers test successfully and both have matches.

In looking at the debug logs, it appears it found it but couldn’t add it to the queue for reasons unknown.

Is your download client also on 24/7, for example on the same machine?

Yes, sab is on the same machine, and has no corresponding log files indicating it ever received a request.
Sab is/was running at the time because if I pushed the manual button it worked fine…

You’ll need to check the log files to see why its failing, debug logs might give an indication, but trace logs will show the response from SAB when it was rejected.
