So basically, Sonarr won’t scan my “Hunter X Hunter” folder past the first one hundred episodes. For any episodes after the first one hundred, it just says the the episode is missing. It is an anime and is marked as such in Sonarr. The files are named absolutely ( as in “Hunter X Hunter - 007.mkv” and Hunter X Hunter - “Hunter X Hunter - 121.mkv” ). I have also tried removing the series in front of the numbers but it doesn’t change anything.
I originally thought that this was because my anime naming format in Sonarr was “{Series Title} - {absolute:00} - {Episode Title”} but when I changed it to “{Series Title} - {absolute:000} - {Episode Title”} it made no difference.
Another problem I am having with this is that Sonarr would associate “Hunter X Hunter - 101.mkv” with the first episode.
Any help on this will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thats only used when naming the files, it is not used when parsing file names to determine what they are.
101 is indistinguishable from Season 1, Episode 1 and absolute episode number 101 to Sonarr, since anime releases typically have additional information to make a correct match Sonarr defaults to Season 1 Episode 1 in that scenario. Adding the subgroup to the filename at the end in square brackets would allow Sonarr to match it properly, or you could use manual import and point it at the series folder to match them manually (and as long as Sonarr doesn’t lose track of them it will work correctly).
This is a known issue that requires parsing to be improved, which is a big undertaking.
