I’m experiencing the same issue.

Guessing you’re running sonarr as a service and did not read the installation instructions that say the service runs as LocalService by default which has no ability to access your home directory?

Otherwise see the download troubleshooting article just about guaranteed to be a common problem.

For future reference it does not appear the logs provided were debug. How can the forum post template the wiki it links to explaining this be worded better?

I did read the common problems link. I am not downloading them to a shared drive. I download them locally.

Sonarr is istalled on my C: drive
My Downloads go to “C:\Users(username)\Downloads\Complete”
My server is remote. Not sure if that could be an issue.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.
here is the sonarr.trace log if that would help.

Here is the debug log

Thanks.

No one said anything about a shared drive?

So sonarr is running on a different device? How do you expect it to access the path the download was downloaded too?

If they’re both on the same windows device, then your issue is almost guaranteed what I said.

Sonarr and SabNZBD is both on the PC.
My server is unRAID, so its another PC.
Sonarr has its Root Folder Path set to “\tower\TV_Shows” so i dont believe that is a mapped drive.

This issue started to happen after I upgraded to the new version.

So are you saying it most likely has no ability to access my home directory?
Am I able to give it access?

So it seems I need to assign permissions, do you know how I would I go about that.

Additionally the Windows Service runs under the ‘Local Service’ account, by default this account does not have permissions to access your user’s home directory unless permissions have been assigned manually.

If this isn’t possible, am I able to just re-install in I assume the “Create shortcut in Startup folder”.

Thanks for your help.

The correct way to is change the user the service runs as to you or change to the tray app.

This is explained on the FAQ…I think around the mapped network drive section?

For others. I just followed this info.

Thanks for your help.
