Looking at a show, (I don’;t know if I am allowed to name it or not) it says after season 1 that it has ended. There are 4 trackers linked with this show. Trakt The TVDB TV Rage TV Maze. All 4 say this show has season 2 which is today. Will this sort itself out soon? It makes me wonder how many other shows have “ended” when a new season is out.
The Ended status comes from TheTVDB (same with all the series/episode information). Checking to see that the information is there would be the first step, if not it needs to be added, if it is then you need to verify if Sonarr is failing to update that series (check the logs), if not it could be on our end (not updated properly on our cache).
Feel free to mention the series and we can take a look.
Hi Marcus, the TVDB has season 2 and the 3 episodes listed, with dates too. It’s called “Britain’s Busiest Airport – Heathrow”. Sonarr is doing a great job with current shows, but it’s that one show that is listed as “ended” which isnt, and that has made me wonder if any other “ended” shows have the same issue for not just me but others. I shall check my ended list to see though but thought I’d question that anyway
Our cache also has that information, its possible it was recently updated and hasn’t been updated in Sonarr on your end yet, Sonarr refreshes Ended shows less frequently, so it could be that last it updated it was still ended and hasn’t bothered to check again. Try refreshing the series manually. If you use Update Library on the main series listing page Sonarr will update all the series information for all series, even ended ones.
I feel a bit silly now as that worked and the button was right infront of me and it did not even cross my mind .
I can’t see in the settings, but is it possible for me to update the frequency of the library update automatically?
Thanks for your help
No option it all happens automatically, 12 hours for continuing shows and 30 days (I believe) for ended.
Thanks. Do you think ended could be shortened from 30 days (as long of course as it does not eat up your resources) as the major issue are takedowns as some shows are removed in days, let alone 30 days. If not, not a problem as I shall just hit the update button every week or so but thought I’d ask you anyway
Thats just how often the data is updated from the server, in 99% of cases thats completely fine as most information is added months or weeks ahead of airing and the series isn’t marked as ended. This is an edge case in that the information was added later and the series was marked as ended for some reason or another, either because it was announced that it was over and marked as such or likely wasn’t getting another season.
There should be no need to update the library manually except when you want to force an update of a show that was just updated or you made changes to the files on disk.
i have same problem with “Border Patrol” have only 7 seasons and say it’s ended but tvdb have 9 and still running
Try manually refreshing it, if its still not updating check the logs, its possible its failing to update for some reason.
