Description of issue:

I’ve run into a number of issues setting up Sonarr w/ SAB & Synology - any help is appreciated:

Requests by Sonarr to SABnzbd to download files are successful and the files are being placed into their appropriate SABnzbd download folder.

Issue 1: The files are being COPIED to the destination media folder and are being labeled appropriately. The original file still remains in the SABnzbd download folder. Why aren’t the files in the download folder being deleted once they are moved and how can I change this?

Issue 2: I was having an issue earlier where the files were not being moved to the destination media folder due to permission issues. Although I couldn’t fix this with Synology settings, I did update the chmod settings in Sonarr which seemed to have fixed the issue. I manually moved the downloaded files to the appropriate destination media folder but the files are not being renamed to the appropriate show structure. Is there a way to “process” these files again?

Bonus: It feels like the chmod settings are a workaround hack - does anyone know how to fix this at the synology level to provide the system with the right permissions to access the files?

Here is an example of the error I was receiving:
Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: /volume1/tv/The.Handmaids.Tale.S03E13.1080p.BluRay.DTS.x264-SbR-AsRequested/. Ensure the path exists and the user running Sonarr has the correct permissions to access this file/folder

Thank you!

Sonarr does not have permissions. The native app packages are developed and supported by the SynoCommunity. Likely related to sc-downloads not having permissions

Remove downloads must be enabled

Thanks - where do I find the “remove downloads” option?

in the client settings

Interesting, as I am having the EXACT same issue. What chmod changes did you make via terminal in your Synology top temporarily get around that?
