I need help configuring my Sonarr profiles to handle file sizes differently.
I have two specific profiles I’m trying to set up:
“Max Quality” Profile: This profile currently works as intended, prioritizing the highest available quality and size (e.g., a large 1080p Blu-ray rip).
“Space Saver” Profile: This is where I am running into issues. When both a 4 GiB and a 1.1 GiB WEBRip-1080p file are available, Sonarr selects the larger 4 GiB file first, even though I want it to prefer the smaller one.
I want Sonarr to prioritize files that meet specific, smaller size criteria first (e.g., around 1 GiB for a 45-minute show, dynamically adjusting with episode length). If it cannot find any files within this preferred size range during its initial search, I want it to then broaden its search to the next available larger sizes until a suitable file is found. Ideally, this profile would also prioritize the H.265 codec to ensure good quality at reduced file sizes.
Can Sonarr accommodate this preference for smaller file sizes within the same quality profile, or is this a feature that needs to be added? Thanks
