I’m having a similar issue.
On my iPad, when I try to load Sonarr using my external IP address and correct port (yes, I have my router set up correctly for port forwarding), I get those loading circles.
Weirdly, when I use a private Safari browser window, I can get further - but only after refreshing several times.
In both scenarios, my Username and Password don’t get saved, even though I have “remember me” selected. I’m using “Forms” type authentication on the Sonarr general setup page.
iOS version, Sonarr version, logs, anything would be helpful here.

I’m on iOS 9. Sonarr v2.0.0.3469. Nothing appears in the log file when I try to connect…
After putting in my credentials, I just get a screen with the bouncing dots at the top. That’s it.

I was able to repro it once on iOS 8 and captured the console using USB debugging (https://blog.idrsolutions.com/2015/02/remote-debugging-ios-safari-on-os-x-windows-and-linux/ ), for me it was timing out loading the series when the page initially loads, on refresh it worked, it’d be worth knowing if you’re seeing the same issue.
I’m not sure if Safari has a low timeout threshold, but it loads properly in other browsers, so it seems likely thats the case here.

No, in Safari, refresh won’t work for me. I just see the dancing dots - for a LONG time. Doesn’t seem to time out.
Want me to do the USB debugging or test with a different browser, or both?
Jon
Both would be helpful. The UI never timed out for me, but Safari silently did in the background.

Does this help? From Web Inspector
Also, Chrome on iOS loaded Sonarr instantly and perfectly. I’d really prefer to use Safari tho…
Jon
Sorry, the console tab would be better.

Here ya go!
Loading is one issue, saving the pw is another weird one. Maybe related?
Jon
Looks like Safari has cached something incorrectly, clearing the cache would be the first thing to try.

I hate that solution, but of course - crap - you are right.
Jon
Definitely not ideal, but now we can blame Safari for caching half data.
