Sonarr not finding results with tags

Hi,

I just installed Sonarr. I use NZBplanet and have the api up and running. When i want to search for a new episode it works like a charm. However it downloads one without subtitles while there are versions on NZBplanet that does contain subs.

I set up to use the tag “dutch-subs” which the search query should contain nlsubs,sbusln,nl

When i try to perform a new scan Sonarr tells me he can not find a result, same when i perform a manual search within Sonarr. It displays some results but none with NL subs. However if i visit nzbplanet and perform a manual search, I do find the results i want.

What am i doing wrong?

Only thing i can name of is that the serie i want to download is in the NZBplanet subcategory TV - Foreign. Does Sonarr search in this category?

In newznab 5020 is tv foreign. Check the api output using the url in your browser. If you don’t know the urls, enable debug logging, then they are shown in the logs.

P.s. Tags don’t limit or alter the query. They just apply to the automatic handling of the result. Manual search will show them, with a red exlamation mark next to it.

Thank you for your reply. I try enabling the debug mode in the Generals settings but nothing changes in my log files.

But whatever the results, a manual search would show them with the words NLSubs? Can you explain why they dont show?

The problem is not only with this show, all the shows with the keywords.

It’s easier to temporarily disable the search on the other indexer when doing your testing.

Sonarr will also parse the series as Dutch, so you need to set dutch as your wanted language in the profile. They will show in the manual search of Sonarr.
QoQ will never work for season 2 and beyond, as they incorrecty alter the year tag. Flash(2015) isn’t parsed as a valid show. They will show in the manual search of Sonarr, but won’t be able to download them at all.
The detailed logs are under “Files”. Do a search, “download” the latest log, and search for nzbplanet.

There newznab response shows that foreign is indeed 5020.

For Dutch, I just download the US files, and have autosub-bootstrap-bill find me the QoQ subs which are released the same day as their muxed versions.

?t=search&cat=5020&extended=1 should show all the TV-forgeign results, including the QoQ results. otherwise, there is something wrong with the api

I set the language in the profile to dutch, no results. Also not in manual search. Websearch still gives me results
Hmm I will look into this. I wanted to automate everything but its a pain in the ass getting everything to work properly.
Found them, but dont understand them entirely. The log files say: “RemoteCertificateChainErrors”. Is this a problem with the api?

As said, for manual searching it does not matter if the languange is set to Dutch or English. Depending on the setting you might get a red exclamation mark, but it should show them.

Not really if you stick to the US releases and (1080p) web-dl. Subs will almost be identically available on the sub sites as the muxed versions.

No, mono is limited in which certificates it supports. So it’s a https issue. But as it is returning results, it’s no biggie.

Test per category in your browser, just add the api key you entered in sonarr at the back of the url.

It might be due to the fact you are searching on rageid, and NZBplanet is also not correctly matching that to the QoQ releases. Try using a query in your browser instead. Insert the api key again.

Thx once again! I decided to download the subs separately so the US versions suffice. I am trying to use Auto-Sub Bootstrap Bill but am having another issue. Synology-forum.nl

I wanted to send you a pm, but doesnt the board support this? Or is it because i dont have enough posts? I would appreciate you contacting me. Maybe through the other board since you are dutch also.

Not at home now, but as far as I remember, it is just installing the package and opening the firewall.
GUI is not very responsive at times, so be sure to be patient.

If you’re really stuck, the authors of the package are on the tweakers forum.
