Sonarr no longer working after restoring backup from older Mac mini

Description of issue:

Hello everyone. I have been using Sonar on my 10 year old Mac mini (OS 10.6) and upgraded to a newer Mac mini (11.6.1). I imported my Sonarr, Radarr, SAB and Plex, and Sonarr is the only aspect that is not working. After installing last week, Sonarr ran normally until I restored the backup I imported from my old Mac mini. After that, it no longer worked and I cannot open in browser (Safari or Firefox). Radarr on the other hand, restored properly and works fine.

I tried deleting the config file, running the CHMOD line, and reinstalled the app from scratch a few times. Still no luck. Maybe this is because the backup came from and older computer, probably with an older Sonarr?

Info Logs are rarely useful for any troubleshooting. and those show nothing other than Sonarr creating a new database.

You need to get logs of it “not working” whatever that means

What was unclear about the forum template? Why was this ignored?

  • Make sure debug logging is enabled in settings
  • Post the log file, not a line or two, or just the error from the Logs table
  • Post the full log to hone of the sites recommended in Logging and Log Files section of the wiki
  • Do not post them directly here. Post in .txt not .doc, .rtf or some other formatted document

then you didn’t read the wiki - you do not need to access the UI to change the log level nor to access logs.

You also need to get logs of it not working after restoring the backup. nothing has provided to that extent.

Sorry. Are you asking me to upload my log? I see that the wiki asks for a full log uploaded as a .txt file, but I can’t seem to see how to do that in this window. The only option I can see is to upload an image file in this comment.

I can see me log and would be happy to share. The wiki is confusing for someone like me who only uses this website once in a while. Otherwise I will be happy to paste it in a comment.

Several times you’ve been asked for the log of it “not working”

What wiki are you reading? Nothing says for it to upload it here nor to upload it as a text file. The forum mentions uploading it as text that’s it. But again everything explicitly says to NOT share it here.

What is not clear about the 6 steps on the wiki?
