Sonarr is moving to a new server

#Why?#

We’ve outgrown our current server so we’re moving to a new bigger and better one. This means our IP address is changing.

Current IP: 142.4.222.131
New IP: 91.121.43.180

#How does this affect me?#
This depends on which platform your running Sonarr on, for Windows users this should be pretty seamless, the DNS records will be updated and Sonarr will start using the new server automatically, for non-windows users Sonarr will still point to the old server until sonarr is restarted (this is due to a mono bug that caches dns records for the life of the app). This won’t be an issue as long as Sonarr is restarted (an update cause a restart).

#What’s moving?#

  • services.sonarr.tv - responsible for alternate release names, update availability and release notes
  • skyhook.sonarr.tv - series and episode data, adding new series
  • download.sonarr.tv - hosts the downloads, zips, exes and tar.gzs for new installations and updates
  • apt.sonarr.tv - Debian packages
  • forums.sonarr.tv - these forums, right here

#Help, its not working#

If you can’t connect to our services and you’re running on a non-Windows system, restart Sonarr, if you still can’t connect, open a thread with more information on your setup and we’ll see how we can help.

#When?#
We’re slowly migrating things over now and should have the move completed withing the next week. If anything changes we’ll provide an update.

#Additional information#
We’ll be pushing out a small update to users once we move all the services, if you have automatic updates available Sonarr will update automatically and take care of the mono DNS caching issue, see the change log for details, but a maintenance release (no major changes) may be released only to update DNS caches.

Forums and Services have been moved. We’re planning to move the remaining (skyhook, apt and downloads) within the next 24 hours).

Skyhook, downloads and apt have been moved as well. Thats them all.
