Sonarr Handbrake Help Would Be Much Appreciated

Sonarr version (V3):
Linux (Unraid OS):
I use Plex and my library has started to grow so I have started using HVEC to compress my file sizes and it seems to work really well considering all the negative things I read about it. I’m running Sabnzb, Sonarr and Handbrake in dockers on Unraid 6.8.0.

I would like to set it up so that when the file is downloaded, it’s converted to hvec mp4 and then sent to my tv folder. I thought I read somewhere in the forum here someone had done this. I couldn’t really find enough details. I tried following Space Invaders video but I just couldn’t get it to work. Would anybody be able help me out with a little bit of details on how to accomplish this?

I must say that Sonarr is by far the best tv software out there. I’ve tried Sickchill, Sickbeard etc… Ended up coming back every time. Good job guys!

I did this a some time ago (not with HVEC, obviously) by having a post-processing script in sabnzb that converted the file using ffmpeg (though you could easily use handbrakeCLI instead) before depositing it in the folder for processing and adding to a series (that was with sickbeard, but that part doesn’t matter).

Perhaps this will answer you more fully: Post-Processing With FFMPEG

Thanks for the reply. Will check that out. Happy holidays.
