Description of issue:

Hi, I’m having trouble understanding how the series updates work. For example, I have one series configured with CF, and the “Propers and Repacks” option is set to “Do Not Prefer.” However, my series never updates automatically. I have to manually check when a new release is available, then start a search for it to find and download the correct episode (French version).

What i sthe way to configure update auto ? i miss an option ? Tell me if you need other pls

In all likelihood Sonarr never saw that release in the RSS feed, Sonarr doesn’t search for episodes, missing or otherwise outside of rare scenarios, which wouldn’t apply here.

The only way to know for certain would be to look at the debug logs, from when that release was on YGG’s RSS feed, but after 5 days those would be gone.

Ok, thank you for your reply. How could it have missed it in the RSS feed, given that the previous three episodes were included as well ? Is it possible to search the RSS feed at more regular intervals ? Does the configuration look good to you? Because it seems to me that once it downloads a release, it never upgrades it.

thx you

Depends how many releases your indexer returns for each RSS sync, how often it does it, whether the indexer allows the RSS results to be paged and whether Sonarr/Prowlarr are running 24/7.

The default interval is 15 minutes, but you could lower it to 10 minutes. You can’t really change the page size, but if it’s less than 100 and your indexer doesn’t allow paging then it’s more likely to miss items.

Not sure what you mean by the previous 3 items being included, but if you miss one or you miss 100 it doesn’t really matter if they are missed.

Check your logs for RSS Sync didn’t cover period between X and Y to see if you’re missing items regularly.
