Sonarr doesn't notice files are deleted

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5344
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):5.20.1.34
OS: Ubuntu - Docker
Debug logs:
Description of issue:
I’ve had some corrupt files in my library, so I decided to just start over, I deleted all the files in there, but Sonarr (and Radarr) seem to still think the files are there.
I’ve now just deleted the whole library folder, but same issue.
I was hoping it would say, hey, these files are not there, should I re download them?

Any ideas?

Sounds like the root folder is empty, there needs to be at least one folder in there or Sonarr will treat it as unmounted and not rescan the folders for missing files.

Sounded like a good idea, but, I deleted every video file, in both my movies and series folder, and tried redownloading some stuff.
Some of my downloads completed, and were moved (hard linked) to the complete folder, but some of them just stay in the downloads folder. I’m not getting it…
but, not everything is starting the download, I really have to delete the serie from sonarr, and then add it again.

Wow, everything just changed. Sonarr now sees that the files are gone. Awesome.
Now I just need it to work properly again, moving all the files to the correct folder when the download is done.
Any tips for this?
It used to work fine, and just stopped out of nowhere

Check the debug logs and Activity: Queue. If they aren’t in the queue then they’re not going to be imported, for torrents it’s possible Sonarr imported them before and won’t import them again.

sonarr only scans root folders every 12 hours - if you do a big purge youd have to kick off a manual scan (or wait a day) for it to notice they are actually missing

theres also an option to ignore deleted episodes, so if thats set then they wont be seen as missing

sonarr wont search for anything, it never does, its only going to pick up new downloads in the rss feeds, so if someone uploads it again then sonarr will see it and download it, if not then youll need to search for it yourself.

you will probably want to go to the wanted page and manually search for all the missing episodes yourself
