Sonarr doesnt find all my files on a given path for a serie

Sonarr version (exact version) : 3.0.0.348
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows) : 5.14.0.177
OS : NAS Qnap (Linux)

Description of issue :

I am a little confused about the mechanism of anime search in my path. I have files exactly on the place where the refresh is done but when sonarr do the scan it doesnt retrieve the good account of files.
For example for an anime in a specific season i have all the files (48 episodes) with the right profile and the right name on my nas disk but when i do a refresh sonarr only find half of the files.

I tried to recreate the season but still this problem, sometimes the number of files discovered is more sometime less.

how can i solve this ?

This behaviour hasn’t changed since v2. The files will either need to be named with SxxEyy or absolute episode numbers matching TheTVDB.

How are the files named in subsequent seasons? If they are named with the “season title” + the season absolute episode number that’d prevent Sonarr from finding them all.

Its weird because If i delete my serie and recreate it found some episodes

Like I said, you need to follow TheTVDB’s numbering for the files.

[HorribleSubs] JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Diamond is Unbreakable - 01 [1080p].mkv would be treated as S01E01 not S03E01 due to the absolute numbering.

Ok i understand very well this file numbering pattern but what i don’t understand is why the other season (where files are name like this) are well discovered by sonarr ?

That format should only work for the first season on rescan Sonarr may actually be linking different episodes back to season one due to the naming conflicts.

If it’s working for a different season I’d be curious to see some debug logs of a refresh/rescan and a screenshot of the series info in Sonarr.

I have checked and you have right, the mapping between an episode of a season and the physical file is not correct.
Is there any changes in future releases that can restart the numbering for each season ?
