Sonarr does not downlod new episodes automatically

4.0.15.2941

Description of issue:
I’ve added a new show and downloaded all existing episodes.
After a while, a new episode aired but Sonarr did not download it.
Ran RSS sync - did not help.
Only when I click ‘Automatic search’ next to the episode - It found it and started the download.

  • RSS enabled
  • Automatic search enabled
  • Under the ‘Toznab’ indexer, I chose all the relevant TV categories. I’m using Jakcett.
  • In the logs (debug), I cannot see this episode at all until the download started. So I can’t see if found it and skipped or failed…

Any ideas?

This is often pretty tricky to diagnose, if you have sufficient periods of debug logs then you should be able to see the releases that Sonarr has processed and also records of any gaps in RSS feeds (which would mean things would be missed).

Since you didn’t see the episode in the logs until you searched for it, it’s likely it never came up on an RSS feed when Sonarr was processing them.
