Description of issue: I posted on Reddit about this and was instructed to go to IRC channel for better help. I have never used IRC, so thought it might be better here.

I have Sonarr send info to sabnzbd which downloads it. Sonarr (I think) then renames the file accordingly and places it into the correct folder on my HDD.

I first started noticing the problem a month or so back. It seemed to happen with shows at Season 10: downloaded files would be renamed to Season 01 and the Episode number would be assigned E10 instead. It just happened this morning.

At 5:26am, the correct Big Bang Theory S10E02 (as listed in Sonarr history & Sabnzbd) was downloaded by Sabnzbd (I checked the history). But, the S10E02 was never placed on my HDD and I have a Season 10 folder with E01 in it (this same problem happened with E01, last week and I had to manually change it). Instead, it was renamed to S01E10 and over-wrote the old S01E10 show.

Any ideas? I checked Sonarr’s settings for anything that looks like it could over-write, but I found nothing.

It looks like SAB is sorting episodes in series and season folders, then Sonarr is trying to sort them, which is causing the parsing to get out of wack and eventually it got imported as S01E10 because it got treated as anime, partially due to the poor file name, but primarily due to the folder structure.

Turn off TV sorting in SABnzbd so downloads aren’t places in the folder hierarchy shown in the logs and the files aren’t renamed.

Thanks. I’ll try that.
