Sonarr can't interact with MKV's in any way?

Sonarr version (exact version): 3.0.10.1567
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):
OS: Windows 11
Debug logs: none
Description of issue: Whenever Sonarr downloads an MKV file, it’s unable to move its destination, remove it from the download client, or rename it automatically; other files appear to be fine

As if there’s nothing at all in the logs? There should at least be a try by sonarr and it will tell you why it failed. There’s nothing special about that extension in sonarr.

Is there a way to force a log of some type? My logs folder is empty

You’re saying under System / Logs in Sonarr there is nothing there to download?

Looking at old forum posts with the error, I stopped the sonarr service and re-ran the application itself, and it worked. Is this a proper fix, or is there a better, more permanent solution?

The error literally says what’s wrong. It’s a permissions issue.

The fact that it’s “fixed” when you stop the service and execute sonarr with your own account probably means that the service runs with a different account that can’t access that path.

Either change the permissions on the main download folder so the service account has access to it (and all folders below), change the service to run with a different account (yours?) which has access to the main download folder, or disable the service and auto-start sonarr when you log in so it runs under your own account. Whichever fits your use case best.

There is only one account on the computer, and it is my admin account?

Services typically don’t run as your own account, but a system account which might not have permissions on the folders you’re using.
