Have sonarr installed locally on my laptop, with a cloud drive mapped and accesible by sonarr, so i can see all episodes there.
Have download station configured in Synology NAS
In Sonarr, i added Download station from synology, tested and it works fine, but im unable to add files to download station from sonarr. It says “client not configured properly”.
Ive tried adding a remote path (as ive seen in some other posts), but it doesnt work, so i must be doing something wrong, and need some guidance as to what exactly i should be writting.
Thanks in advance
Is the ip adress of your nas correctly typed in the settings of sonarr? See the following (Sonarr> Settings>Download Clients>Click on already added client:
Name: Whatever name
Enable: []
Host: The IP-adress of your synology nas
Port: The port Download Station is listening on on your nas
Username: The username to log into Download Station (Leave blank if there isn’t any)
Password: The password to log into Download Station (Leave blank if there isn’t any)
You can find the IP-adress of your nas in the settings of your nas and in the settings of your router.
Try this, and if it doesn’t work, maybe you could share some pictures from relevant settings (nas, download station, sonarr download client)?
And does your nas have a static ip? If it doesn’t it can change and the settings in sonarr wouldn’t work anymore then, as that ip adress would then link to a different device.
Yes, the ip is correct as when i am adding it in sonarr as a download client and i run the test it connects.
I access the nas through duckdns and can do everything online.
Nas does have a static IP within the LAN.
I can see the download station fine through the web, and manage everything in the nas, but im unable to have sonarr send the files to download station to be downloaded
Port 5000 is the syno management page if I recall correctly. So you probably have that port forwarded in your router.
To access download station from sonarr on your laptop outside your home network you need to forward a different port as well I think?
Wouldn’t it be easier to run sonarr on your synology?
