I have to restart my server often due to conditions beyond my control.
Most run very smoothly but There are times when there is multiple entries in TVDB that the system seems to choke on.
My suggestion is a a little better match setup. I have formatted my Shows Directory in the normal way TVDB comes up. For ex.
Outer Limits, The (1963) [ABC]
Sonarr still goes for the first entry returned. If not caught in time it overwrites all the completed episodes and creates a unholy mess. I have created a list of the offending shows and check them before I let it process them.
I think this is the issue you should be solving, it’s not normal to have to start fresh with Sonarr often and it’s your server so it feels like exactly something you should control.
What leads you to believe this is the normal way?
I’d say network in the folder name is not normal, the recommended way is title + TVDB or IMDB ID to help guide Plex, Jellyfin etc to be able to fine by ID.
When I search for this the first entry returned is The Outer Limits (1963):
