Can someone please help me figure out how to rename files? I am running Sonarr with Sabnzbd and using NZBGeek as my indexer.
I am not sure if I should be renaming files with Sonarr or with Sabnzbd. Sometimes my files are renamed and sometimes they are not.
For Example…
Sometimes a folder is produced and in that folder are all the files nicely renamed…
Folder: Show Name
File:Show.Name.Here.S12E22.EpisodeNameHere.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264
File:Show.Name.Here.S12E23.EpisodeNameHere.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264
File:Show.Name.Here.S12E24.EpisodeNameHere.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264
Sometimes a folder is produced properly and the file is still obsfucated inside
Folder: File:Show.Name.Here.S12E22.EpisodeNameHere.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264
File: f4cfd166a4c7413090258c7f8c7d2aaa.mkv
A bit light on details (which folders are configured in sab and sonarr), but my first guess: you’re mixing download folder (managed by sab) and sorted series folder (managed by sonarr). These really need to be separate.
Secondly, don’t do any sorting in sab.
High-level workflow:
sonarr monitors your indexer(s) RSS feed > sonarr sends an nzb to sab > sab downloads to folder x > sonarr monitors sab’s api to see when the download is complete > sonarr moves and renames download from x to y.
Where x is sab’s download folder and y is sonarr’s root folder.
Thank you very much. That explains why during setup it tells me to turn off sorting in Sab. I think part of my problem was that i moved my setup to a new pc and the root folder for sonarr was missing due to a drive letter change. Now that i have fixed that, it seems to be working.
This is great information…
