It’s been happening for a long time but I thought I might ask for a fix since I couldn’t find anything similar online and neither did any of the updates resolve my issue.
The problem is I can’t seem to set the series monitoring for any TV show. I want to set it to monitor “future episodes”, but when I click the save button, it keeps on loading/buffering forever and after 2 mins or so, reverts back to saying “save” with my changes not being saved at all.
I have tried it multiple times, in multiple shows but the problem remains the same. Is there anything I’m missing?
Things I’ve tried:
Restarted my Sonarr Container
Restarted my NAS (Synology, if that matters)
Updated Sonarr
Checked the logs (after changing it to debug mode), couldn’t find anything relevant, though I didn’t check ALL the logs so if something like this might be in a different type of log file, please let me know
No matter what I do, it still says “No change” in the monitoring option instead of “Future episodes”.
You need to look at the seasons and episodes. This is not a setting that is persisted, it applies to the series the moment you set it to apply your chosen value.
Think of it this way, if it was a setting that was constantly evaluated then if you chose Future when it’s re-evaluated at some point in the future it would unmonitor any aired episodes, whether there was a file or not.
If you checked immediately after adding then all episodes will be monitored, it won’t be until after Sonarr updates the series, performs it’s scan of existing files (whether there are files there or not), then it will update.
I just tested with this series and shortly after adding it updated as expected.
If you’re still having issues, post the trace logs of you adding the series or updating the episodes that are monitored.
You can also unmonitor seasons / episodes manually.
