Season Trailer picked up as episode name?

Sonarr version (exact version): 3.0.6.1342
OS: win 10
Debug logs: https://pastebin.com/DvbyjnuS
Description of issue:
Strange behavior. I checked the log of mappings, not mentioned, but this looks like a bug anyway.

reproduce: add “Gold Rush: White Water”
season 5 episode 1 is showing a title of Cold Open
but the correct title is: Roll of the Ice

To get logs, I ran a refresh of the series, hopefully it did the trick. You can easily recreate it yourself though.

TVdB shows the season preview is named what is shown in sonarr, but also correctly shows the s05e01 title:

here is what sonarr shows:

https://wiki.servarr.com/en/sonarr/faq#tvdb-is-updated-why-isnt-sonarr

I am aware. The TVDB edits were well over 24 hours old, so it isn’t a cache issue, but thanks for the reminder.

Per the linked wiki, it is not 24hrs though. Up to 48 hours.

Skyhook is not yet updated with the edit, which is why Sonarr hasn’t updated. So it is a cache issue. Once you see Skyhook update then things should be good. Just have to wait it out.

24hr is TVDB’s internal API cache only. You have CDN caches on top of that then skyhook’s cache and then sonarr only automatically refreshes every 12 hours

all of which is spelled out on the wiki and appears to have been either ignored or skimmed over

i found what i think is the url to sonarrs skyhook - https://skyhook.sonarr.tv/v1/tvdb/search/en/?term=gold%20rush%20white%20water

but thats a lot of data to look through. is there a more user friendly way to check?

if there is it should probably be added/linked into that wiki entry to minimise the number of posts like this even more.

that’s the search results

the actual series is https://skyhook.sonarr.tv/v1/tvdb/shows/en/339227

pretty sure this is evident in trace logs as well, but it’s not really something that needs to be advertised. once it is in skyhook a refresh of the series in sonarr will update it, so knowing if skyhook is current or not is a fairly moot point

looks like it’s still in tvdb’s cache or waiting on CDNs

Better to look up the show by TVDB ID number (bakerboy448 already showed the URL for the series)

Additionally, in my experience, people are typically looking for episode updates, so you don’t need to look through everything. Just the episode(s) in question and the lastupdated stamp.

As it is now, skyhook has updated with the new info from TVDB, so a Sonarr refresh should pull the new data and the issue is resolved, per the wiki. There’s no real need to reference or check skyhook. It’s just a middle man. You just need to wait the indicated amount of time and it will flow through eventually. I just referenced it in this instance to highlight that it was indeed a cache issue.

Assuming that the series never changed back over that timeframe - also assumes TVDB didn’t have any API issues that they occasionally do.

Unless you were checking the series every few hours you have no idea how long it truly took
